(The two cats in the image are special cases.  The one on the left, Pussums, was always a year older than me, until she wasn’t.  My parents jokingly told me she was my sister when I was really young, so for a while I thought animals like cats and dogs came from people.  The one on the right was a strange demure cat named Sebastian.  Excessively calm, regal and mysterious, I named him after a certain demonic butler.)
